Nitric Oxide 一氧化氮Measurement System测量系统

Nitric oxide (NO) plays a major role in a variety of mammalian biological processes including blood pressure homeostatisis, immune regulation, transmission of signals by the nervous system, and platelet aggregation. The production of nitric oxide is difficult to measure directly due to its very short physiological half life (1 to 40 seconds) and the extremely small quantities (picomolar) which are produced.

In order to get around the problem of direct measurement of NO, analytical techniques have been developed which determine the stable end products of NO oxidation, namely NO3-and NO2- ions. NO2- is commonly measured using a Griess colorimetric assay. This technique usually requires the reduction of NO3- to NO2- using either chemical or enzymatic methods.

Because the Griess method involves several chemical conversion steps it often gives inaccurate results due to incomplete yields and environmental factors such as temperature and age of the Griess reagents. Other drawbacks with the Griess methods include tedious and time consuming steps, especially in the reduction of NO3 to NO2, and high cost per sample.

The revolutionary Lazar ArrowStraight(TM) NO Measurement System directly measures both NO2 and NO3 ions without any intermediate chemical reactions. This method significantly increases accuracy while saving time and cost. This system is simple to use and comes complete with an analyzer program that records results on your PC.

The ArrowDOXTM Oxidation-Reduction Potential System is the ideal system for these applications for the following reasons:

  • MEASURE OXIDATION-REDUCTION POTENTIAL IN 1/10 OF A DROP. This electrode enables you to measure samples as small as 5 micro liters (1/10 of a drop)
  • EXTREMELY SMALL SENSOR SIZE. Tip diameter of the ArrowDOXTM electrode is only 1mm.
  • LOW IMMERSION DEPTH. Immersion depth for the ArrowDOXTM micro combination redox electrode is 0.5 mm.
  • GUARANTEED UNBREAKABLE. Electrode features solid state sensor and fluoropolymer capillary tube making it virtually unbreakable. Electrode is guaranteed against breakage for the life of the probe. Why settle for glass?
  • MORE STABLE THAN GLASS ELECTRODES. The solid state design of the probe offers a much lower output resistance than glass probes of the same size giving a much more stable redox reading.
  • MEASURE MIDPONT POTENTIAL OF CYTOCHROMES by simultaneously measuring the oxidation-reduction potential while at the same time measuring the spectrophotometric absorption during a reductive potentiometric titration of cytochrome
  • PLOT REDOX POTENTIAL CONTINUOUSLY ON YOUR PC. Monitor the change in oxidation-reduction potential with time directly on your PC and see a real time curve as the potential changes. Ideal for measuring the midpoint potential of cytochromes.

Dip the micro redox electrode into a 96 well plate and record oxidation-reduction potential value on your PC while at the same time keying in the sample ID. Go to next well and repeat procedure. Dissolved Oxygen Probes

pO2 & pCO2 Micro Electrodes

The new pO2 probe can be used to measure pO2 of tissues, whole cells, cell fractions, and various types of respiration studies. It can also be used to measure dissolved oxygen in biological and environmental samples. The pCO2 probe can be used to measure pCO2 in blood, fermentation studies, and various tissues. The pO2 probe has a 2mm tip and a 6mm body diameter. The pC02 probe has a 9mm body diameter.

 pO2 Needle Probe

The new pO2 needle probe that can be used directly with a strip chart recorder or pH meter to measure pO2 of various plant and animal tissue, cell cultures, and respiration studies. Unit comes complete with electronic signal conditioner for direct hookup to your recorder or pH meter.

Dissolved Oxygen Probe

Measure dissolved oxygen using your pH meter

Features
  • Use with any pH Meter. Probe can be plugged directly into any standard pH meter for dissolved oxygen measurements.
  • Covers Full DO Range. Electrode can measure dissolved oxygen from 0 to 20 ppm or 0 to 150% saturation.
  • Eliminates Winkler Method. Probe measures dissolved oxygen directly without involved wet chemistry of titrations needed with the Winkler method.
  • BOD Measurements. BOD probe fits directly into BOD bottle for 5 day or continuous BOD measurements.
